Edoardo Albinati

About the Author

Born in 1956 in Rome, Edoardo Albinati is a prose writer, novelist and poet. He has translated the works of several English and American writers including Vladimir Nabokov and Robert Louis Stevenson and also translated and adapted The Tempest for the stage. Since 1994, he has worked as a teacher at the Rebibbia Prison in Rome. Based on this experience he wrote Maggio Selvaggio (Wild May), an essay/short story in the form of a diary about life in a prison. In 2001, he published the novel 19 (Mondadori, 2001) which describes a journey through Rome on the tramline bearing this number. His latest book is the novel Tuttalpi
